Central America

WHERE WE'VE BEEN:

  • Costa Rica

  • Guatemala

WHAT'S ON THE BUCKET LIST:

  • Belize

  • Panama

  • Nicaragua

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?

There's really no bad time to visit, but the preferred time by tourists is the 'dry season'. There's two seasons the wet and the dry season, the dry season runs from December to April in most countries, but some countries this season is shorter from February to April.

TRAVELING IN CENTRAL AMERICA:

My favorite way to visit Central America is by car. In this region of the world I have found there are so many hidden gems and cool places that are only accessible via car! Although it may be a bit more expensive, I would defiantly recommend saving up to rent a car during your time here.

WHAT BUDGET SHOULD I PLAN FOR IN CENTRAL AMERICA?

Central America tends to be a much cheaper part of the world, with Costa Rica being the most expensive out of the region.

In Costa Rica you should plan for about $67/day. Past travelers have spent on average, $16 on meals and $9 a day. But, I would plan for a little bit more if you are planning to visit the more touristy areas.
